The video for the song has footage of that tour with the Bangles that Brett Alan mentioned.NPB Card Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01178497208404127283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589229784182663092.post-81292483464544578172021-12-25T20:36:09.591-08:002021-12-25T20:36:09.591-08:00A. Out of all of the people on the Pro Set autograph checklist, Tone Loc would be my first choice. Lindsay Lohan would probably be my second.

D. I'm pretty sure (not 100% though) that I remember Lords for being an adult entertainer when I was in high school. Don't remember her acting or singing career at all.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589229784182663092.post-4797778896478271522021-12-25T12:41:52.693-08:002021-12-25T12:41:52.693-08:00I dig the Hoodoo Gurus--actually saw them open for...I dig the Hoodoo Gurus--actually saw them open for the Bangles around 1987 or so. This post actually got me to interrupt my holiday music for a couple of Hoodoo Gurus songs. I didn't even know (or at least remember) their version of "The Little Drummer Boy", so that was my segue back to the seasonal stuff.

My favorite of theirs is "Bring The Hoodoo Down"--we were calling for that when I saw them, and they sheepishly admitted they hadn't rehearsed it. I'll echo GCRL's rec for "What's My Scene", too, that's a really good one.

Happy to have contributed throughout the year, and looking forward to whatever you send! Cool group and right up there with the first bands I think of when someone brings up "power pop."

Happy birthday! That was some birthday/Christmas haul in '91. Not sure if '92 Donruss would make me feel much better after an orthodontist trip but that's just me and my dislike for that set.night owlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11673973790245316059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3589229784182663092.post-39295810656512523872021-12-24T16:17:01.301-08:002021-12-24T16:17:01.301-08:00Happy birthday! Other faves were/are “Tojo”, “bittersweet “ and “leilani”. “Mars need guitars” is one of my favorite albums. gcrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06025001883745401515noreply@blogger.com
